L.N.H. has enjoyed a tradition of community support in various capacities through its Volunteer Program. A formal structured Volunteer Program had its beginning as a Candy Striper Program for girls over the age of 15. Now it has expanded to include age groups from the mid-teens to seniors.

The sense of commitment and enthusiasm shown in the volunteer workforce is valued by the residents served and the employees whose work is lightened.

Volunteers provide a strong community “voice”, much needed and beneficial feedback to the staff and offer a fresh human touch to the care of the residents at the Westview Care Community.
